You may remember a few weeks back, we invited you to the launch of a little project on Long Street called WDC 2014 POP-UP SPACE #WDC008. We are involved because we have a few of our products available to purchase from their shop which is one of the many interesting and exciting things one can find going on there. Check out the information below, along with their link, and either pop in and see what it’s all about, and/or spread the word so others can too.
“This space in 150 Long serves as a central location for the public to engage with WDC2014 projects. The space is being designed to include as many projects as possible. The inside contains a mushroom farm transforming coffee waste from Cape Town cafe’s into plant food, a shop featuring a selection of products by designers, an WDC information hub, a mobile food cafe, a mini pop-up shop offering a retail opportunity to designers and projects that don’t currently have access to retail space, and an area where people can sit, eat and work with free wifi. We have Jade De Waal doing the culinary vibes and then Department of Coffee from khayelitsha doing the hot beverages.”
And then I wanted to share this with you, my new Minty Green Mosaic Table Runner from my new range : ) has been featured in last week’s issue of YOU magazine as part of their We Love section. Hooray for new things! This item is a new design and a new product! Each table runner is 1.4m w x 40cm h and is made from a lovely thick cotton which will help transform any dining room or kitchen. You can get your hands on this one right here.

The Design Indaba Expo is over! What an amazing, exhilarating and inspiring few days. Thanks to all my friends and family for all your support over the last few weeks building up to this, it really was worth all the hard work and effort. Look who made into the Home Weekly supplement of the Sunday Times this last Sunday! None other than my space rocket solar system cushion cover! Seems quite appropriate given the week we’ve had, with Felix Baumgartner managing to successfully complete his Red Bull Stratos jump. And they called it a space invader…LOVE that! Here’s a direct link to the cushion cover on hello pretty and on Etsy.
Spring is finally here! The flowers are out, the sun is out, we even made it out, and had our first picnic this last weekend. All designed with the summer in mind, get ready to make your picnic basket the most wanted item in the southern hemisphere : )

And just because this little guy below hasn’t had a chance to feature anywhere yet…
My friend Kerry came to me with a request from her very fussy 5 year old. He wanted space rocket solar system curtains for his new room and there was just nothing available that he liked. So I got to work on designing something for him, and this is what I came up with.
Apparently Conor is delighted with the design and so I have sent it off to be printed! As soon as the curtains are up and ready I’ll post a pic of them in his new room!
