To celebrate Heritage Day and the wonderful country that we live in, we are going to offer a 10% discount on all purchases made tomorrow (Heritage Day 24 September) in both the Cape Town and Elephants designs from the Handmade By Me online shop. The price will reflect the discount for one day only, so if you have been eyeing out one of these items you should definitely take advantage!!
Yay we’re having a 1 week only Apron Sale where you can get 10% off all Handmade By Me aprons, both vintage and chef styles (while stocks last of course). And its all kicking off at SAM‘s Sale of the Season tomorrow between 3pm and 9pm as part of First Thursdays Cape Town! Also as of tomorrow, the Handmade By Me online shop, Hello Pretty, and Etsy will all be hosting the Handmade By Me 1 week only Apron Sale online, but if you really want first dibs on something you have had your eye on for while, I would recommend popping into SAM tomorrow so you can get your hands on that discounted apron straight away, and save on postage : )
Unfortunately the sale only applies to stock which I currently have, which means you need to email me email@example.com to check if I have what you want in stock before purchasing so that I can reserve it for you. Alternatively if you really really really want ; ), I can make to order for you at the sale price, but that can take up to 5 weeks. Don’t say I didn’t warn you : )
And if Aprons are not your thing (huh?) come have a beer or glass of wine, and peruse all the lovely things also on offer at the Sale of the Season at SAM tomorrow anyways. There are a whole lot of awesome local brands (see below)) also taking part in the sale so you’re pretty much guaranteed to walk away with something fabulous!
And I still can’t believe it! It feels like soooo long ago when I started this blog, even then I remembered thinking it probably won’t even last till then…I really can’t believe how far Handmade By Me, as a brand and as a business, has come since then. I went back and looked at some of the first blogposts I wrote, in one of them I said “Fabric designing and printing is something that really interests me and if I want to start making my own fabric for the cushions, I am also going to have to learn to sew them myself.” I laughed! Who would have thought then, that I would be where I am today! Then I laughed even more at the item I actually sewed ha ha!
Anyways I just want to thank everyone who follows my blog so much, I really appreciate the support and even if you are reading this for the first time, the fact that people come here and see whats going on and have a look at what I am doing means a lot to me.
And being the 1st day of year no 2, I couldn’t be prouder than to show you this article featured in the November issue of South African Garden And Home. I still can’t believe that there’s a photo of me in there, but I feel really encouraged to continue with what I am doing, who knows where I’ll be in another year’s time.
